Ultimate Staffing is seeking an EHS Safety Technician to join a client in Fort Worth. This is a full-time, direct hire role. The position is 100% onsite.
The Safety Technician plays a key role in maintaining a safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for implementing and supporting safety programs, identifying and mitigating workplace hazards, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting a strong culture of safety through employee engagement and training. The ideal candidate brings a proactive, hands-on approach to risk management and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine safety inspections of manufacturing processes, machinery, and workstations to ensure compliance with applicable safety standards and regulations.
- Identify potential hazards, including machine guarding deficiencies, powered industrial truck risks, fire hazards, chemical exposures, and ergonomic concerns; recommend and support corrective actions to eliminate or reduce risk.
- Maintain current knowledge of applicable industry safety standards and regulations, including OSHA and EPA requirements.
- Update and maintain safety documentation, records, and systems to ensure accuracy and ongoing regulatory compliance.
- Support internal and external safety audits, including preparation, participation, and follow-up on corrective actions.
- Assist in workplace incident investigations by compiling reports, performing root cause analyses, and recommending corrective and preventive measures.
- Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and workshops to reinforce safety policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Coordinate emergency preparedness activities, including fire drills, evacuation procedures, and first-aid readiness.
- Inspect and maintain emergency and safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, and first-aid kits to ensure readiness and compliance.
- Support PPE issuance and tracking processes to ensure proper distribution and documentation.
- Perform additional safety-related tasks as assigned by the EHS Manager, in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (required).
- 4-5 years of demonstrated experience and knowledge of U.S. safety laws and regulatory requirements (required).
- Experience with ISO management systems (ISO 45001, ISO 14001) and RBA standards (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with hazardous materials management (preferred).
- Ability to interpret and implement legal and regulatory requirements in a manufacturing setting.
